The founder of South Paws, Karen Price, earned a BS in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and spent many years as a sales representative in the wholesale pet supply industry. In 2001, she retired from the business to raise a family.  South Paws was opened in May of 2006.

Karen works at the daycare full time. Her husband, Tim, helps out on his days off from a "Day Job" as a firefighter. They also rely on Jen Gauthier as a General Manager.  Jen embarked on an internship with South Paws in the early Fall of 2009 and became a full time employee in February of 2010.  South Paws also has 2 part-time employees, Jessica Martin and Kim Hallisey. Together, they work diligently to provide you with the best care and customer service in the industry.

South Paws has dedicated 3000 sq. ft. of the facility to a "cage free" training and play area where your dog can safely interact with the staff and socialize with our other guest dogs. There's also a 600 sq. ft., safely fenced, outside area for the dogs to take care of business and get some fresh air. 

Everything, including the floors, entryway, toys and outside area, has been designed to provide a safe, clean, healthy and fun environment for your best friend. Karen nd her team really do know how much your pets mean to you. You can rest assured that every dog in thier care is treated as if they were thier own.
